Biography

Collin M. (Marty) Fritz is a highly respected personal injury attorney and longtime partner at Trecker, Fritz & Williams, where he has devoted more than five decades to advocating for individuals and families harmed by catastrophic accidents. Licensed in Hawaii since 1976, he has built a distinguished statewide reputation for his work in personal injury litigation, with extensive experience in aviation and aircraft accidents, automobile and traffic collisions, slip/trip and falls, aquatic injuries, product liability, medical malpractice, workplace injuries, and drug‑induced birth defects.

A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, Mr. Fritz began his career in New York’s financial sector before returning to the legal field and ultimately establishing himself as one of Hawaii’s leading plaintiff’s attorneys. Over the course of his career, he has represented military personnel, local residents, and visitors throughout the Hawaiian Islands, securing often exceptional results for victims of negligence. His admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit further reflects the breadth of his litigation capabilities.

Mr. Fritz’s professional contributions extend well beyond the courtroom. He has served in leadership roles within the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, Hawaii Bar, and the Hawaii Trial Lawyers Association, and he has been a frequent lecturer on tort law, damages, mediation, and trial practice. His work has earned him numerous honors, including repeated recognition in Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and Martindale‑Hubbell’s highest rating for ethics and competence. He has been selected by his peers and Hawaii judges in Best Lawyers as personal injury lawyer of the year.
